I designed this logo for Artist Michele Spadafore's Comic Book Company/Imprint "Urban Ochre Press," also know as "UOP." Michele wanted the logo to suggest an eye, and also have the hand-drawn quality of the storytelling art forms that are the cultural predecessors to modern comics: cave paintings and graffiti.

Sample lettering assignment for a Manhwa (Korean Manga) Webtoon
For this English-language translation of a Korean Manga (Manhwa), I used Photoshop to create and place the typography, the word balloon shapes, and the sound-effects. My goal was to maximize the pacing and the clarity of the storytelling for an English-speaking audience.

Pop Art Cookbook:
For the design and art direction of this cookbook, I was inspired by the work of Pop artist Roy Lichtenstein. I used comic book typography and graphic elements, such as large "zipatone" dots and hand-drawn expository caption shapes, to convey the idea of bold, pop-y flavor.
